Just Plain Ruff Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 You know, I always was a believer in throwing in some reality in scenarios. Get a childbirth scenario in a refresher then have a real life female screaming bloody murder. Got a unconscious trauma victim, then the victim stays unconscious. combative drug overdose, then the patients combative if you can make it real then it gives them perspective. But I didn't do it all the time. I usually told them that this set of scenarios were real life scenarios and they knew what I meant.
NewJerseyEMT Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 I agree with you, Captain. It's also kinda weird going with a bunch of people that know next to nothing about what they're getting themselves in to. I've run as a gopher for an ambulance volunteer organization for the last 4 or 5 months. So, I think I will also have a little bit of an advantage. Sorry, if it seems as if I revived a dead thread if ya'll consider it to be one.
