I was looking around for EMT programs and came across this statement from one of them:

At this time, this program is only open to Black/African, American/Caribbean, American/West Indians, and Latinos/ Latinas.

What context was it in? Was it for reduced tuition for minority grants? Need a little more to go on.

No I haven't come across things like that, but for example, was it for highrisk inner city youth run on a grant for minorities etc? Because there are programs for womens re-entry, returning Veterans etc etc etc.

It is a private organization so I guess that is why...

Not sure what you mean by that comment regarding it being a private organisation, but there is a requirement for a certain percentage of employees to be a visible minority especially to a contracted govt. service such as a private operator as you infer and they are probably below the threshold.

You might find this helpful. Perhaps you could even call the company to find out.
