MariB Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 Well, I just got the feeling they didn't like having students there. Either way, I chose not to finish my clinical work that day so I could return to the first site. Ill finish out there with ease and extra contacts. We only need 15 patient contacts and I have 13. I easily could have gotten them all in one day at the second place. However I had seven to start with. I can easily get 8 to 10 more going back at the first place. Truthfully, I want to go back. I loved it there. Louse riding with an all ALS team is just fascinating. 1
fakingpatience Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Clinical sites are all extremely different on what they allow students to do. If you found a place that is proactive with teaching students, and likes having you there, take full advantage of all the clinicals you can do there! Unfortunately some sites don't like having students (more so hospitals having EMS students) and it makes it much more difficult to have a good clinical experience. 1
