paramedicmike Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 Too funny. However, I believe either form is correct. 1
Arctickat Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I I is the first person singular subject pronoun, which means that it refers to the person performing the action of a verb. I want to go. This is the one I like. You and I need to get ready. Tom and I are going to the movies. Me Me is an object pronoun, which means that it refers to the person that the action of a verb is being done to, or to which a preposition refers. David told me to leave. He gave me ten dollars. Between you and me, this is a bad idea. She needs to talk to Joe or me. Since it was you who performed the action of posting the comment, the proper word would be "I". http://www.elearnenglishlanguage.com/difficulties/ime.html
Emergency Laughter Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I seen something concerting that grammer day today. I did real good doing grammer at school tho, but thank you any ways!, I I is the first person singular subject pronoun, which means that it refers to the person performing the action of a verb. WHOA....YOU ARE LIKE....I DON'T KNOW MAN, LIKE BI-LINGUAL OR SOMETHING HUH? Me, I'm gonna learn to speak a foreign language someday too. You speak it really good tho. Is that..like..Roman? Or Greek....something?
paramedicmike Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 Since it was you who performed the action of posting the comment, the proper word would be "I". Except for the fact that the use of the pronoun "me" was not in reference to the action of posting. It was in reference to what (a very general) "you" should have known. One wouldn't say, "... you had to have known it would be I."
