scubanurse Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Ours doesn't Doc, but the employer contributes all of the funds to it, we pay nothing but our $300/mo premium for a $4k deductible each year, which I meet within the first two-three months of the year.
mikeymedic1984 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 If you watch the talking heads on Sunday talk shows, and then interpret the "code" they speak, we are heading towards "Medicare for All". You can argue whether that is a good or bad thing for the individual, but for most EMS agencies it will be bad (one of the lowest reimbursements for ambulance transports).
ERDoc Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I think you will see it being bad for all providers, EMS, hospitals, private practice, etc. The only ones to benefit will be the insurance companies. I'd be curious to see what would happen if the gov't decided that equal access to the courts was a human right and therefore they will regulate the price that lawyers will be reimbursed.
