I am looking into some programs in the Tempe area. So far, I see:
Arizona Academy of Emergency Service with option for a degree through Waldorf
Phoenix College
Glendale CC
and
Paradise Valley CC
Does anyone have any insight in any of these institutions?
*BTW: I'm new. NREMT-B, EMT-B Minnesota. Currently in school in MN for a EMS degree and pre-Paramedic student.

Mesa CC has an awesome program. I'd highly recommend it. Just recently graduated & got my medic through them.

AAES - Not horrible...I've got several friends who've gone through it. Can't really say anything bad about it..

Phoenix CC - Don't know too many people who've gone through that program.

Glendale CC - Pretty cool program....If they're still there, Chris Coughlin & Paula Davis are awesome instructors!

PV CC - Tends to do a combined Southwest Ambulance/PVCC program. Theirs is a "hybrid" system where you do more online than in class....

All in all, AZ medic programs are kind of a "you get what you pay for" deal. If you work for an agency, check into the possibility of an in-house program (there are some agencies that do this i.e.: Southwest Ambulance, PMT, some FD's).

The program you pick should be listed as accredited on this site. It it is not listed as accredited then please find a program that is.

And welcome.
