Hello, I'm a "grey hair" (over 50 with a beard...) as my classmates referred to me, I've been an ASHI/Medic First Aid Instructor/Trainer, etc for many years. My oldest sone decided he wanted to do this and I've been trying to work out family time to be able to do it for about 5 years and finally bit the proverbial bullet.

Part of my interest is in order to expand our Scouting Health and Safety team for our Lodge and Council and regional events and activities.

(My day job is an IT Infrastructure/Data Center Architect/Electrical Engineer, my hobbies are pretty diverse and everyone refers to me a "renaissance" man due to the breadth of my interests.)

Just completed EMT-B course in December and the Virginia State Psychomotor Exam last night, I'm pretty sure I did very well on Trauma and Random, a little iffy on the Medical - of course a scenario I wasn't the most comfortable with from a "by the book" assessment. We should find out on Tuesday, Wednesday the latest. Then on to the NREMT CAB National test.

I've volunteered with the local county I did most of my precepting with and looking forward to working with them.

I've already enjoyed lurking a little on the site.

Thanks and looking forward to learning more. (I spend most of my normal day on a computer so I probably won't be very "noisy".

Bob
