There is talk that Taxachussettes might finally come into line with the rest of the New England states and go to nat reg for their testing services. This would also mean reciprocity across state lines with neighboring states,

I think they already have, at least at my school. I just finished their EMT program and took the NREMT exam, not the state. And I looked at their site and it said that at the end of their medic program you could take the NR for that too. I am currently taking a&p and am going to start their medic program but it doesn't start until sep, so I am trying to get a job until then. I just don't know that it is worth the extra $$ to try and get into an accredited school, if I can still get the national at another school.

You have to successfully complete an accredited program if you want to take National Registry's paramedic exam and earn their certification.

Read more about it here.

Even more reason to spend the money on an accredited program.
