Scenes like this make me cringe. .. What is it going to take for those who are operating any vehicle with lights and sirens to realize that the flashy lights and screaming noise doesn't give them the right to disregard the safety of others... Not to mention their own safety as well those on board the vehicle that they are operating?

Maybe we need to start implementing yearly EVOC courses for anyone that drives a vehicle with flashy lights to counteract the 'flip on hot button, shut off brain button' effect.

Yeah, clearly the ambulance is at fault.  They just go right on through that red light.  Me wonders whether they were trying to beat the fire truck.  

My initial thoughts when I saw this video a couple of days ago was "What is that driver thinking?????, slow the hell down and stop at that red light"  I would bet that the driver has had at least one other close call in the past month, anyone want to take me up on this bet?????

Since when is it acceptable to just rip through an intersection on a red light without clearing it first? Either the ambulance in question had a brake failure or the driver was an idiot.
