How quickly a call can go from routine to all hell breaking loose is this one.  I dont' have all the particulars but it sounds like they were caught completely off guard.  

 

RIP to the EMT's famly and the FDNY family.  

Prayers for speedy recovery of the injured medic.

With my arthritic knee, wouldn't have been physically able to stand as long as required, so I went to the Friday afternoon viewing. 

At least I was there. So many wanted to go, but couldn't be there, except in spirit.
