Did they change over to MetroCare around 1998, or was that just the NY office?

The local ambulance just has "ambulance" written in Spanish and Russian across the back windows. I swear I live in the biggest Russian community outside side of russia.

Ha! You mean they didn't have it in Portuguese too??

I remember seeing the Russian signs all over certain parts of Boston. Very weird to see that!

NY was Metrocare. They bought out three companys in Baltimore and called named them Transcare. Baltimore had about a thousand different little mom and pop company's about this time. Transcare bought three, Rural Metro bought three, and Lifestar Response bought three or four of them. From what I heard Transcare is the largest one in Baltimore now, especially since R/M pulled out. I don't think you could get me to go back to a private service for all the tea in China. I'd rather ask someone if they wanted fries with that... B)

We have a local PVT service here, called netCARE,

Saw one of their vehicles a while ago, someone placed a sticker over the n, it read petCARE.

Mine says "Corporate Emergency Services" and on the back it says "State Operations"

My company catch phrase at the moment is "saving lives"
