I know a lot of the FD's in our area give names to different pieces of apparatus. "RT 231 Express" is one that comes to mind!!

We feel that when we are in the rigs with our partners we all are working as a team at saving lives so our motto at our private ambulance service is "Your Team For Life"

the service i used to work for was ... help is on the way. there is also by land or air. which is funny since they dont have aircraft and the best one is the fire dept paramedic units that say simply the best when they are only glorified intermediates, i know intermediates that can do more than those guys.

Where I worked before: "If it doesn't say *ell on the side, you have just been taken for a ride" Private service.

The fire dept. had "Simply the Best" so we put "Better then Simple" until management found out. Not alot of cooperation between them and us.

The service I used to work for in Detroit, their 'motto' is: 'The Provider of Choice' .... although among the road crews, the unofficial 'motto' was 'There is NO 'unity' in 'Community'!'

I hate to even admit to this..... but I was chief of an ambulance unit that had purple ambulances. Their motto was " The purple people treaters"

Not on the vehicles but we had buttons and stickers made up for community events.

People helping people." was a phrase used by our staff psychologist, ended up being "stolen" and put on police vehicles in Kitchener Ontario Canada.

Company name on the ambulance but "Caring For Life" on our patches and everywhere else the Co. logo is.
