Thrice - Artist in the Ambulance..

I met thrice a few years back at the warped tour, they played an acoustic set.. it was incredible.. they are incredible. check their new album out.. here are the lyrics to the tune...

"Late night, brakes lock, hear the tires squeal

red light, can't stop so I spin the wheel

my world goes black before I feel an angel lift me up

an I open bloodshot eyes into fluorescent white

they flip the siren, hit the lights, close the doors and I am gone

now I lay here owing my life to a stranger

and I realize that empty words are not enough

I'm left here with the question of just

what have I to show except the promises I never kept?

I lie here shaking on this bed, under the weight of my regrets

I hope that I will never let you down

I know that this can be more than just flashing lights and sound

look around and you'll see that at times it feels like no one really cares

it gets me down but I'm still gonna try to do what's right, I know that there's

a difference between sleight of hand, and giving everything you have

there's a line drawn in the sand, I'm working up the will to cross it and I hope I will never let you down"

enjoy!

Ozzy rules!!!!!! The only 3 I can think of right now are suicide solution by Ozzy and shot in the dark by Ozzy and Last Kiss by Pearl Jam don't know who did it originally.

Don't know if someone mentioned it but for staging a scene I recommend;

Vicarious by Tool

Eye on the TV

'Cause tragedy thrills me

Whatever flavour

It happens to be like

Killed by the husband

Drowned by the ocean

Shot by his own son

She used the poison in his tea

And kissed him goodbye

That's my kinda story

It's no fun 'til someone dies

Don't look at me like

I am a monster

Frown out your one face

But with the other

Stare like a junkie

Into the tv

Stare like a zombie

While the mother

Holds her child

Watches him die

Hands to the sky crying

Why, oh why?

'Cause i need to watch things die

From a distance

Vicariously i, live while the whole world dies

You all need it too, don't lie

Why can't we just admit it?

Why can't we just admit it?

We won't give pause until the blood is flowing

Neither the brave nor bold

The writers of stories sold

We won't give pause until the blood is flowing

I need to watch things die

From a good safe distance

Vicariously i, live while the whole world dies

You all feel the same so

Why can't we just admit it?

Blood like rain come down

Drawn on grave and ground

Part vampire

Part warrior

Carnivore and voyeur

Stare at the transmitter

Sing to the death rattle

La, la, la, la, la, la, la-lie

Incredulous at best your desire to believe in

Angels in the hearts of men

Pull your head on out

Your head believes it give a listen

Shouldn't have to say it all again

The universe is hostile

So impersonal

Devour to survive, so it is

So it's always been

We all feed on tragedy

It's like bood to a vampire

Vicariously i, live while the whole world dies

Much better you than i

We recently had a CPR recert night... our instructor told us to start practicing on our own, then he pops in a CD and starts playing "Another One Bites the Dust"..... we stop and look at each other like "WTF?!?! That's just wrong to play that right now..." lol... So we're all lookin at him like he's crazy and he says to do the compressions to the beat of "Another One Bites the Dust". Sure enough, the compression rate fits with the beat... adding up to a rate of 100/min. So now everytime I do CPR, I sing the song in my head. Just make sure not to sing it outloud while on-scene... I imagine that family members might get a little upset if that were to happen... lol.

I have always thought 'Willing' by Linda Ronstadt was a good EMS song.

'Just give me weed, whites and wine and give me a sign and I'll be willing to keep on moving' :P
