where was he on the ladder... like where his feet two rungs off the ground or where they at the top of the later? it would make a difference and treat it as possible c-spine injury not matter what they hit on the way down... better safe then sorry

and I agree with Asys... we have to treat the patient and not the numbers. Weren't we all taught this at some point in our careers?

Taught and absorbed are two different words. For a lot of basics, sayings like that go in one ear and out the other.

True enough JPINFV....My students who will be graduating this THURSDAY have been taught to treat the patient and not the numbers, but lately... I've noticed (could be the final exam coming up tonight) that they're worried to death about the numbers..... I think there HAS to be a little bit of a learning curve between the program and the "streets".
