So I just got back from doing a chest pain call, which I am 99.9% sure was not ischemic. As you know, the ministry in their infinite wisdom has given us but one code for medical chest pain, 51. SO! If you have a patient that has chest pain, that isn't ischemic, how do you (personally) document this? Just curious to see what other people do/have done.

Ya 99..LOL. Or muscular skeletal trauma or whatever it is. But if you don't think it is ischemia don't use 51. You'll have a lot of 'splainin' to do when you don't administer symptom relief.
