So if I wanted to be competitve for Toronto EMD Tac Unit....I guess I should get my ACP?

What else should I do? I am really interested in ultimately becoming tactical medic.

Ummmm, I am not interested in that tactical medic program but I'll say what I think is right.

1) Work for TEMS

2) Be an ACP. Yes, there are level 2's as tactical medics but by the looks of it all the new special teams (ETF, CBRN, PSU) are all ACP's. I think the remaining 2's are just grandfathered in.

3) Get seniority. I'd say a MINIMUM of 5 years before you could even think about applying and being successful. Ten years is probably more reasonable. Seniority is basically > all for these special teams.

4) Ummmm, there are various other things but the gist is...Working 5-10 years in Toronto and likely 2+ years at least as an ACP before you can even think about it.

Read #4 that is basically the correct answer.
