How is it that the people most upset at your response time are the ones who:

a) waited 3 days to call you?

have no number on their house, mailbox, end of driveway, and no lights on?

c) have 6 family members nearby, but no one went to the end of the driveway to wave you in?

Why is it that the people who are uninsured and will not pay their bill are most likely to complain about the service they're receiving?

As I see it for all those frequent flyers, add a nice bonus to it, the very next time, stamp their hands and say;WOW your our 1000th customer for this you've won something. As they look at you and say what did they win, you say well lets have a looky here in the book, then lean over to your partner driving. Bob, John here is the 1000th customer he won a prize, your partner says ooooh congrats. Well it says here, you won an enema or somthing to that point.

Why is it that whenever you bring in an incoherent pt, who has vomited, doesn't speak, and isn't cooperative, they decide to tell the ER doc that they had " a bit too much to drink"? as soon as off the ambulance.

Why is it people come in to the all night clinic at 0300 for a sore finger they have had for two weeks and I have to wake the dr. up so he can examine it? Let THEM wake up the crankiest doc we have on call for the evening!

1. Why do people always have to die and fall between the tub and vanity of a bathroom on top of weighing 350 pounds?

2.And why is it that cardiac arrest always occurs after eating copious amounts of beef stew or spinach quiche?

Why is it, on a Holiday weekend, your volly EMS squad is out of service because everyone is at the cabin/beach/Las Vegas/relatives/etc.... until you get a greasy horse-n-buggy vs. a semi-truck.... then the ambulance *suddenly* has a crew of 5 and six more show up on the scene??!!

HUH??!! SOMEONE TELL ME WHY!!!

Here is one how come when you go into a house and no one speaks English, the whole transport no habla. As soon as you get to the ED mysteriously they can speak English?

Why is it that as soon as you reach your stand by location another unit becomes available and you get released. Usually occurs at 3 am.

Why does rescue cancel the ambulance off a mvc as soon as you pull up to the scene.

Why does the nurse at the NH NEVER know anything about the patient she called you to pick up. ie...I just got here, I never had this patient before.

Why is it that when you receive multiple frantic calls for an MVA, when you get to the scene, in the middle of nowhere, all the occupants have run off?

1. Why do the pt's that are begging for O2 asap when you walk in the door are speaking to you in 10 to 15 word spurts with elaborate and detailed descriptions of their breathing difficulty? They usually have 99% O2 sats and 1 second CRT's. :?

2. Why is it when walking into a Dr's office with a serious or critical pt they are surrounded by 1/2 dozen nurses and 2 doctors who all want to tell you what's wrong with the pt yet there is no IV, O2, ECG, face sheet, or enough room to get to the pt themselves? :shock:

3. Why is it when you get onto your ambulance at the begining of a shift and you've just made it on time you get a call the second you punch in and the unit is missing half the stuff you need and is completely out of PCR's? :x

4. Why is it when you are in a good mood you get great pt's and when you are in a bad mood you get jerks all day long?
