You know...I've read all of these before....and they still crack me up. Sad thing is....some less-than professional EMS personnel (from all levels of certification)...have used them in PCR's in our area. Our County Office of Emergency Services sent a MEMO to all agencies which said if any of these were found on a PCR, you're tags will be permanently revoked.

One I just sort of developed over the last few months:

FLFD: Fat Lady Fall Down.

Seems to be about 1/2 my calls in the winter and spring.

FLFD-- no $hit. We have a lady living next door who is well over 300 lbs. Her husband had to rebuild the porch steps for her with lots of tiny steps because she couldn't step up more than a few inches. Now she can't even manage that, so her whole family goes outside to lift her feet for her (hauling them up by her sandal straps) so she can get into the car to go to bingo, for which she uses a wheelchair. The really sad part is that she doesn't HAVE to be like that. She just sits at home and eats nonstop. We hear her husband yelling things like, "If you eat that, I swear I'll walk out on you!" He is so good to her, and she just takes advantage of him.

BFDCM - Big Fat Dude Can't Move! We have a guy here that when his family calls 911, they dispatch 3 crews just to lift this guy! They actually put a door from his bedroom to the outside 'cause we can't get him out any other way! I hate that call!

And my personal favourite to see in a deceased patients notes is:

ART -Asuming Room Temperature

Actually found a nurse that wrote this in a patients notes, as you can immagine she was sacked for this.

I later found out that she always used things like ART to shorten her paperload...and her career!
