As of 1914 hours, July 9, 2006, I got the following message from their site, which infers they didn't finish rebuilding the site.

I was wondering too, it looks like a Firefighting/EMS forum.

It's mostly fire forum, however occasionally you'll see a tidbit about EMS. It was started several years ago on the east coast, most likely in Maryland. I'd say it's more a gripe-fest then anything. I read it occasionally, mostly because it's humorous. It does appear to be up and running again.

I used to frequent the watch desk, however, I quit going there after it turned into a pissing contest between local volunteer fire departments and the EMS service. It had nothing to contribute to me sadly. Seemed like a pretty good site though.
