Which one do you use... Difib Paddles or the Pads

Hey was having a discussion (spend a lot of boaring hours just talking at the station) about which people prefer or which their department has them you... Do you use the Diffibrilator(sp?) paddles or the pads that are in the basic AED. just currious... also which Monitor/AED do yall use

paddles. our lifepack 10's arent equipped with the quick-combo stuff.

I personally like the paddles. You cant really get you 25 pounds of paddle pressure that ACLS recommend with the pads. However I have seen a cardiologist on multiple occasions fold a towel and press down on the pads. It was kinda ridiculous to me but then again he is the man. The Zoll is what we use. Charles

Pads on all of our AEDs. Two of the rigs have Lifepack 12s and the third has a Lifepack 10 and a Lifepack 500 for the Basics.

Personally it depends on if there is a photographer on scene or not Just kidding, I prefer the paddles.

The only time I used paddles was in training, Where I work they use quick combo pads.. I have not any trouble with them.,.

I have used both --prefer the pads -- if put on correctly you don't have to worry about the 25#'s of pressure

Haven't seen paddles used around here in the past 10-15 years...
