In aussie land it’s illegal to have LEDS or sirens in your personal vehicle.

All emergency vehicles that have lights and sirens must be clearly marked as to what they are so it has to scream out that the vehicle is a fire truck or ambulance ect. Only exceptions are unmarked cop cars.

Personally I think Lights & Sirens in your own car are just stupid. If you need to respond in your own car then maybe your stations should think about getting some more trucks or a response sedan.

In my family car I only carry a small first aid kit. Mostly for the bumps and bruises from family picnics or dirtbike riding in the bush with mates ect.

Sound like rough picnics! In mosh pits?

Not that I'm against preparedness. When I'm king, everyone will be a trauma surgeon and every postal code will be an extended ER. Just my cautious nature, I guess. Why suffer needlessly?

God this thread should have been left to die....

But since it wasn't, I drive a 1991 ford half ton. Burgundy in colour with rust holes in the body i can now fit my fist through. It is equipped with two front facing headlights, two rear facing brake lights that also double as turn signals, two front facing amber lights and two rear reverse lights.

I could make siren noises out the window if i wanted to....but i don't.

People who think they need lights and sirens in their personal cars are way overrating their self importance.

I agree NSmedic

Can we just drop this topic. It's been over done and undercooked.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
