Fall...90% geriatric.

Sick Call..mostly geriatric and can be anything from cut finger to constipation.

Chest Pain...very common.

SOB...cause everything that does not fall into the other three gets EMDed as breathing difficulty because of the EMD card system they use. Even if the chief complaint is toe pain if they are even thinking about having trouble breathing it is dispatched as SOB.

The small provider i work for usually ends up with a lot of chest pain, difficulty breathing, or my personal favorite "patient check" which in the past has ended up being anything from someone wanting their bp checked to a man who was in respiratory arrest on his kitchen floor.

I work for a private ambulance company in rural northern NM. I asked that exact same ? when I went for my interview! I was then informed that as a general rule of thumb that any pt found unconscious/unresponsive... Narcan is our friend! This areas number 1 type of call is ODs... That and seem to run on lots of codes... Apparently up north they do not believe in DNRs! Haha kinda morbid humor I guess...

I say that the most common call in 911 services is total BS regardless of how it is called.

Let me think about that. Yup still right.
