I was actually amused, because in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation they are using Scoop stretchers. Apparantly they have that futuristic look to them.

Also in the remade version of Battlestar Galatica (the episode where the president is dieing from cancer) they have her on a Stryker ambulance cot.
