If ever there was an argument for compulsory motorcycle helmets and seatbelts, it could very well be right there!

Well it actually wouldn't be a very good argument. Washington has the hightest seat belt use rate in the U.S. and the World at approx 96.3%. It was determined that 60% of the people killed in those accidents were not wearing their seatbelts, and that 85% of people unhurt in the same accidents WERE wearing their seat belts.
