Hey just currious... how may people in here are cross trained as FFs also?

I am currently an EMT-B and am starting to learn the stuff for FF. I am going to be taking FF I in the fall... and I was just wondering who all was what?

me - I'm an ED RN but I'm also an Emergency Ambulance attendant with SJA ( bit more than a EMT- B when it stands alone), but fortunately the UK situation is such that applicable RN skills can be used pre -hospitally without paramedic registration.

Just started as a FF yesterday. I still have all the training, etc to go through. After this, however, I'm going to start the EMT/Paramedic training.

Again USAF sorry about that... forsome reason the Other and the FF/EMT-I options did not carry over... I am going to ask EMTCITYADMIN if he is able to add those two options... ADMIN YOU ABLE TO DO THAT?

I am currently a Fire Fighter (engine boss, haz-mat, wildland hand crew boss and secretary) and also am an EMT-B. I start EMT-I99 class in May and as soon as I pass that I am either going to school for Paramedic Technician or RN. I have not decided yet. I love Firefighting but since I have become an EMT the FF crew has been pretty protective since I am usually the only certified EMT on the fireline most of the time. They like to keep me safe in case something happens to them. Gotta love those guys....
