This story was covered by WABC/TV 7 in New York, and followed it the next day with a story about a different amputee who was working in another New Jersey town's Fire Department.

It looks like the 2 individuals are able to do the job. Keep the one, hire the other, as I see it.

Mayor Jose “Joey” Torres did not return calls Wednesday, but his office released a statement saying the city would welcome Feliciano if the state clears him medically.

In other words, "if the state forces us to do the right thing, we'll hire him and take credit for it. Otherwise, screw the crippled spic"

Unfortunately for this guy, he's not paisan like Muccio. :roll:
