So I am curious, being an EMT-B student I was wondering how do you stay healthy in this career field? I know it is high stress, odd hours, and probably not the greatest of eating habits. Being around ill patients, how do you avoid getting sick yourself with all these factors? In general I know hand washing, plenty of rest and fluids, and eating right all contribute to prevention, but I am sure it is somewhat different in EMS and the healthcare field. Thanks!

Good evening! Welcome to citydiner. I hope you enjoy your meal. My name is Michael and I'll be your waiter tonight. Please click on our menu and find something you'd like. I'll be back in a moment to tell you our specials, answer any questions, and take your order. Meanwhile, can I get you somethng to drink from the bar? :)

EDIT: Whoops! The Management apologizes. I'm afraid we have a staff shortage tonight, so it's buffet-style. If you don't mind typing the phrase

eating AND health

into the box to the right of Search for Keywords, that would help us all out.

Thank you for your inconvenience, and we apologize for any cooperation.

Your menu seem quite large and not what I am looking for. Is there anything you would recommend as my waiter Michael?

Damn it....I wish I would have said that! :) I mean...assuming we're still talking about food...

Oh never mind...

Michael,

Do you think I would not do my homework and read what others have posted regarding this subject???? I did, and did not find what I was looking for that is why I posted. Now, if you do not want to contribute then don't, I don't appreciate being told to go to the search page nor your rudeness. I post on this forum due to the fact that people here seem to be nice and helpful. Like I said, if you do not want to contribute in a positive way then don't. I am just trying to find out what people have to say on the subject since I am new to the EMS world and am curious.

Well, I hope you've found everything to your satisfaction and that you've been enjoying the magnificent view from our dining room window. Now that my shift has finished, Dwayne will be taking over for me. Please relax, take your time, and enjoy our complimentary dessert, which is on the house. Good night!

Dang it man! You came back with the perfect reply...now you've spoiled it....

When you have seven posts, and ask a relatively common question, people are going to assume you didn't search...No biggy.

If Michael got under your skin with his little ditty, you need to really duck, because he's about the lightest touch you going to find around here...Take a breath, reread his post...notice that it's funny and maybe you took it wrong...and let's get back to learning.

Michael can find anything, on anything, for anyone...You're new here, trust me when I say you don't want to burn these bridges so fast!!

By the way, I suck at searching....so he and others help me all the time...but You'll need to find a better way to ask...

Sorry, I Misfired. (Misquoted by Dwayne for humor purposes)

:)

(No idea what that means, but it cracked me up)
