I searched this site and did a general search on the internet for scenarios. I failed my first attempt at my written exam  and was wondering if any of you have come across some FREE test scenarios for EMT-B. I live in KS and understand that we have some of the hardest written exams in the union, and I think that I may have had my downfall in two categories. One: Scenarios and Two: the PTL Airway (which we never covered in class). I only missed passing by one percentage point and am very disappointed in myself. I found a place on the internet that will let me do "flashcards" of specific information... but I'm really looking for something that will allow me to test in scenario form. Any advice is appreciated.

I can feel your pain on the practicals and the NR exam. Here's a website that should help you some with scenarios [web:9f4809b8fb]http://www.lessstress.com/simulator/sim.htm[/web:9f4809b8fb]

It's not the best place in the world because you don't exactly get "hands on" of course. However, it will give you some scenarios that should get you thinking and help you out with your dilemma. As far as the airway part, only thing I know to tell you to do with that would be to do some research on it and find out what you can, or ask your instructor to explain it to you (seeing as how they were suppose to do that in the first place)

I know you said scenarios, but questions are questions, some of the scenarios on the test are there just to overload you with information about a patient and then ask you what BSI you should have on.

Here are a couple that I've found useful.

best of luck!

For basic questions I like to goto www.prenhall.com/limmer every now and than to brush up. It has the questions separated in chapter by the EMT-B brady book.

this is a site we use that simulates the CBT written test. You might need to get some log in info or sign up, our teacher gave us a password so...
