what was your first call

I am wondering what your first call that you when on (not ride alongs)

Honestly, are people even trying anymore?

What was your first call?

I am wondering, what was your first call? This doesn't include ride-alongs.

Seriously people, at least try...I am not grammatically correct all the time. At least I try and CAPITALIZE things or form some type of understandable sentence structure.

My first call? Honestly I don't recall.

Hmmm, as an EMT on a medic unit, it was an unresponsive.......turned out to be a cardiac arrest. Jumped right into doing CPR and cracked the ribs. I was freaked out a bit. My first call as a medic was a hanging. She hung herself hours ago, so it was deemed a class 5. I ended up taking care of her frightened puppy....lil fuzzy ankle biter. Poor thing was shaking its lil butt off, so I carried him around until the detectives got there.

My first solo call as a PCP was a patient with an allergic reaction to some makeup. To make matters more interesting medical control was still in process, so no meds, just O2 and prayer.

The only reason I remember, is because while on said call, I missed the largest fire of that decade. :D

First call as an EMT was a lower leg fracture on a soccer player. I did such a great job that the crowd gave me a standing ovation as I took the player off the field.

My first call as a medic was a mentally challanged group home resident who stuffed an entire peanutbutter sandwhich in his mouth and choked to death. Try intubating when all the landmarks are smeared with bread and peanutbutter. P.S. somebody else got the tube.

My first call was pretty cool. I was working with my dad on a BLS unit covering the Detroit Hydroplane races. We got a call to Belle Isle (Kinda Detroit's version of central park but smaller and on an island) for a 7 y/o that fell down. He ended up having a silverfork fx. So I splinted him and sling and swathed him. My dad drove, I teched and to childrens we went.

2nd call was pretty cool too (it was pedi day) We got pulled to our crew that was working at Chene park (outdoor theatre on the river) for a 5 y/o with a 15 foot fall onto cement. By the time we got there the crew had the kid backboarded and I got to ride with a screaming kid back to Childrens
