It's true... Have you ever tried to open a coconut, with only kitchen utensils? We tried that in our hotel room in Florida..

To the maintenance guy: Do you have a hammer and screw driver? or perhaps an axe? chainsaw? TNT? :lol:

Ended up going to a hardware store to buy a hammer/hatchet combo tool, more weird looks.. After six or seven hard smacks, there was coconut milk everywhere.. and you do not want to drink a lot of that stuff. No way.

open a coconut, with only kitchen utensils

First puncture the three dimples with a large nail or drill, and if necessary puncture the other end once, then drain the coconut-water into a container (I got 20 ounces) courtesy gravity before wrapping the drained coconut with an old towel and whacking it to bits with a hammer on a concrete floor.
