katbemeEMT-B Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 First Responder - CPR: No charge EVOC: No charge done in unison with county sheriff dept. and several local police dept. EMT-B through Technical College: $1100 (includes books and practical exam) paid by service with one year contract which actually turns out to two after probation National Registry Test: $20 paid by me I also incur costs for classes, seminars, and conferences that I go to so I can stay current in my knowledge and learn more than what was taught during Basics class. Haven't gotten the numbers back yet on what medic school will cost from the same Tech College. Just recently started checking it out as my new job is willing to help defray some of the cost.
junior943 Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 When I began in 1990 the class was $325.00. The current price of the 120 hour EMT Basic program is $550.00. The cost is covered by a State Grant if you are a volunteer squad member. John
