I have 2 cats, one is smart he returns, the younger one tries to escape and on occasion he does, who gets to exercise . . .ME!

Chasing him all over the street, someone else's front yard, the occasionly smell of a flower or 2, then it's back to you cant catch me, nananana.

By this time I'm in the mood to strangle him if and when I catch him, when he finally runs inside, I'm huffing, puffing and to plain tired to kill him.

The chore here in this house is: Let cat out, Let cat in, Let cat out.

We are at their beck and call, not the other way around.

I have 2 main coons, both males, make great guard cats.

We had a cat once. :cat: My kids named him Jack Daniels (JD for short). Yep, they're corrupt, I used to bartend. Anyway, he was the most irritating thing put on the face of this Earth. You want to talk about retarded? This cat was soooo dumb.....you could throw him across the room and he would come right back for more. Not that I did that but there was that one night when I was sleeping and the dumb a$$ attacked my feet.

I now have two dogs. :grommit: They are smart. They sit when told and get out of my way when I don't want to deal with them. They know that if they walk around looking cute they will get their way. LOL

Anyway, I still liked the little story.

Your cat didn't come back because he was "retarded", he came back because he loved you unconditionally, as animals will. Animals strive to make their "people" happy. He came back to try to please you and what does he get for his efforts but to be thrown like a football across the room. Nice.

I didn't actually throw him EVER. The night he attacked my feet I did kick him off the bed but I'm sure any one who got startled that way would have. He got treated very well until we had to find him another home (my son was extremely allergic to him and medication wasn't helping). We found him a home where he is still KING JD.

So don't get all upset that I abused my cat. It's not like I put him in the microwave. :violent2: I just kicked him off the bed when he woke me up out of a sound sleep. Oh by the way, he was kind of retarded (brain malfunction) that's why I ended up with him in the first place. I spent lots of money on him to keep him alive.

A dog looks up at you in wonderment and thinks, "You provide the constant satisfaction of all my creature needs. You must be a god!"

That is so true.

My apologies.

I have rescued a cat and a dog now who were dumped that are enjoying a copious amount of love from my husband and I. I get worked up over animals and the cruel treatment they endure at their owners hand. My apologies for taking your post too seriously.
