Little Jenny was a beautiful blue-eyed 5yr old who enjoyed the warm summer days playing in her Mummys garden at the side of her house.

One day a group of builders moved in on a plot of land adjoining Jennys house, they started laying the foundations for a new building. Jenny was fascinated to watch all the builders coming and going and would spend hours sitting on her garden wall listening to the banter between the men and watching the machines.

It didn't take long for little Jenny to become adopted as the site mascot, many of the men were there on long contracts away from home and missed their familys so little Jenny provided them with an innocent diversion to the toils of the day.

By the end of the week Jenny was a firm favorite amongst the rough but genuine workforce and little Jenny had been given her very own tin coffee mug, a pink hard hat, some pink overalls and some toy tools from a nearby toy store.

The hearts of the men were so melted by this beautiful liitle girl that at the end of the week they had a whip round and gave little Jenny her very own wage packet containing $5 and a small bag of candy.

Excitedly, Jenny ran to her Mother who was washing up in the kitchen to show her the gifts that the workmen had given her.

"Thats very nice dear" said Jennys mum, crouching down next to her daughter. "Aren't you lucky to get all these things?"

"I am mummy" said Jenny, gazing up into her Mothers eyes.

"Do you think that you would like to work on the building site again next week?"

"Yes Mummy" said Jenny, "only...."

"Only what dear?" said her Mother.

"Only I hope those ba**ards at the builders supplies get the fu*king order right next week!"
