My full time job, we wear black bdu pants and polo shirts with embroidered writing and emblems, my part time job, we wear Kkaki bdu pants with bright red button up shirts with embroidered writing and emblems. They look nice, but a pain in the butt when you jump up at three am to go on a call.

I still think we should be able to design a uniform that says prehospital medical professional. Something that keeps us from looking like cops and ff's. But is also distinct from nurses as we don't want to have the public thinking nurses make house calls. It would need to be durable, especially the pants. Needs to be easy on for when that pesky noise disturbs us.

I have a simple problem with red: it hides blood what has gotten onto it, even with best efforts not to.

And then there are those patients who think they are a bull....

I have to admit I hadn't thought of that!

Actually, unless there is a dairy farm somewhere I don't know about, this is the only bull in NYC, off Wall Street.

These would be nice scrub top with our EMS pants. Durable with a medical look.

One that thinks flight suits are neat looking, try wearing one for 12 hours. I agree, they look sharp, but very uncomfortable after a few hours as well as very hot.

Here is those flight scrubs, (Ihave a pair and are very comfortable) ...[web:2ba38e1735]http://www.aviatorscrubs.com/[/web:2ba38e1735]

I wear the navy-colored Aviator scrubs at work in the ED. Without doubt, the most comfortable, durable, and smart-looking scrubs I have ever worn (although I am not loving the two-tone thing they have on their website).

Well worth paying that little bit extra for.

So do you think the top would hold up and look good in the field?

I worked for over three years with a service that allowed us to wear pretty much whatever we wanted to wear. I started off wearing scrubs only at night, just to save chute time. Eventually, I went to wearing them almost all the time, for multiple reasons. I had no more problem with their durability than any other uniform. And if they tear up, who cares? They're cheaper than other uniforms, especially if they are supplied by your employer.

Dude, those two-tone scrubs are hella fugly! Is anyone really buying those? :?
