Richard B the EMT Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Now using Verizon FiOS, big improvement over the old dial-up.
JTpaintball70 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Cable at my apt, T1 at the hospital work, when I pick up ambulance shifts it's a Sprint aircard or finding some WiFi someplace
FireMedic65 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I'm using a direct fiber uplink to an OC-256
Richard B the EMT Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) Could someone enlighten me as to what differentiates T1, cable, and DSL? I say FiOS, and really am just parroting, I have no idea what I'm talking about. All I can say for sure is, when I got the upgrade to FiOS from Dialup, downloading most of the stuff linked here from YouTube went from minutes to seconds, and better quality. PS: I am on a Dell PC. armymedic571 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 <-------------- . I don't know. I saw this and almost pee'd myself. Thanks itku2er for the laugh.
SOCMOB Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 DSL that's as slow or slower than dial-up used to be a decade ago, and I'd need a T1 now to do what I used to do on dial-up. Sites like this are great but the internet gets worse and worse. 1
