Stupid question here but isnt that kinda like treason you are betraying your country by lying about being in the military or the special operations part of the military. If you impersonate a cop you get jail time does this apply here to? I would still like to have my earlier question answered by someone that is in special operations about how they would personally deal with a person that betrayed their units and country, if any special operations people are here to answer it.

I don't think it's treason, but I'm sure it's against the law. Treason would be if he pretended to be what he was doing, and giving secrets away to towel heads or something like that.

Thanks Aaron but either way they are still betraying the country we love and live in.

While I certainly don't claim to be "special ops," by any stretch of the imagination, I covered your question in my original post. I know plenty of those guys. They live next door to me. Just Google "fake seal" or "seal impersonator" and you'll see plenty of sites where Spec Ops guys show you exactly how they feel about this activity.

Dust I have googled that and looked at some of those sites, but I know we have some Special Ops people on this forum and I was going for the more personal touch. Personally I think this guy needs some serious help he definately has some kind of mental disorder. I would say some kind of "Special Ops glamour love"

Article 3: Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

Nope, not treason. Stupid, immoral, and probably very illegal, but not treason.

he had to make up stories about what he was doing in his life to make himself feel better....

I call it a personality disorder, he's good to himself and rotten to the other half and I'm surprised he hasnt pleaded insanity yet and I wouldnt be surprised if he ends up there.
