Wow.... I am currently seriously looking into working in Australia for a couple years for an interesting experience. Good to know one place not to look!

Its interesting to see that australian ambulance personnel have the same problems as us in the UK. Change the accesnt and he could be talking about any UK service.

Seriously you can breath a sigh of relief if MICA attend your next accident. These guys are worth their weight in gold!

change the uniform and they could be talking about the NSW ambulance service. They have just started and investigation into our service and We will garantee It will have the same outcomes as your investigation.... Will keep you all posted when the results come out

Nothing new here Timmy, and no difference between MICA/ALS or RAV/MAS (or should I now say Ambulance Victoria!) Same problems accross the board, morale is crap, they dont pay us enough, rosters suck, no flexibility etc, etc. MICA aren't special here, just the Unions flavour of the month. This should not be about MICA, it should be about all Paramedics as a united group trying to improve things for the profession....seems the good old AEA occasionally forgets ALS exists! Grrr...

Anyway...hows things?
