Hello all, I am new to the forum and am sorry if this has been asked before, I am Canadian but am living in the US, we are moving back up to Canada in the near future. I will be graduating with national registry paramedic in December, can anyone tell me the trials I face ahead to get licensed in Canada, namely Alberta and BC. Thanks

in both provinces you will need to apply for equivalency. The links below will get you on the right track to explore it online, and both will provide phone numbers to learn more. Both provinces have examination processes (consisting of written and scenario testing). Have a look around the forum here..there is some information on the process in other threads.

BC - http://www.healthservices.gov.bc.ca/ema/oop.html

AB - http://www.collegeofparamedics.org/registr...of_province.php

I recently heard that Nova Scotia will let you register as an ACP if you hold an NREMT-P. If you were already registered there it makes it much easier to become licensed in another province so I would explore that route. I will try and find the link I was looking at.

Thanks for the quick reply, I have the forms needed from BC, I was wondering if anyone from out of country has done the process, thanks
